This philosophy was developed early on by the company’s founder, N.L. “Buster” Bassford. While working as a newspaper distributor in the 1950s, Mr. Bassford was able to develop methods for recycling and reusing old paper for other purposes. This included using shredded paper for fruit packaging, combining sawdust with ground newspapers to create oil filter bases, and more.

N.L. “Buster” Bassford retired in the 1970s, leaving a legacy of innovative packaging and customer service. As a result of the foundation laid by multiple generations, Bassford Packaging has transformed into a state-of-the-art production facility with a team of professionals dedicated to serving our customers.
